Building Sustainable Urban Communities
"A race that is solely dependent upon another for economic existence sooner or later dies."  ~Marcus Garvey

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Often the phrase "kicking and screaming" identifies the level of complacency associated with economic development in urban neighborhoods.  UEDC is committed to engaging every aspect of the community through business collaboration and community organizing.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Case study after case study has shown that but for gentrification attracting investments to urban communities is virtually impossible.  At UEDC we are crafting innovative approaches to attracting new business and industry that will create jobs and opportunities.

It is also important that as these communities are being revitalized, we take care to partner with corporations and people that embrace our ideals and our Mission. At the heart of that Mission is self sustainability through jobs, business growth and improved quality of life.

COOPERATIVE ECONOMICS

The use of ROSCA's by immigrant entrepreneurs has transformed urban neighborhoods. Business once dominated by residents are now controlled by a new waive of consumer exploitation.  The good news is, anyone can execute this capital formation strategy to start new businesses, recapitalize existing ones and raise the level of savings and capital.
